Birth of the project

The Amis du Patrimoine Religieux Givetois, an association of 80 volunteers devoted to the conservation of religious in Givet, a village near the Belgian border, invited tenders for the renovation of the interior of the Church of Saint-Hilaire and the installation of 18 contemporary stained glass windows. In September 2017, the proposal presented by Catherine Roch de Hillerin, in partnership with the Atelier Simon-Marq, was unanimously selected. This was the second time Simon-Marq and Catherine Roch de Hillerin had worked together, after the creation of stained glass windows for the Church of St Memmie in Bergères-les-Vertus in 2018-2019.
