Anima Mundi are pieces that represent the minimalistic and very personal approach of the artist towards the importance of colours and geometry. Every piece is constructed in the same manner, in five parts. The shades of colour associated to this repeated geometric construction create moments of attraction and contradiction, of balance or disharmony. The combinations create a sensation, a vibration.
« Anima Mundi » Series 1 is a piece composed of 6 numbered panels, signed on the sixth panel, on a wooden base. The panels measure 32 x 29.5 cm and the base 240 x 9 x 12 cm. It is limited to 10 numbered pieces, numbered "Series 1_1/10" to "Series 1_10/10".
« Anima Mundi » is composed of 12 individual panels numbered and signed, limited to 10 pieces. Each panel measures 32 x 29.5 cm and the base 39.5 x 9 x 12 cm.
COULEURS DE REIMS
« Couleurs de Reims » is a piece by the german artist Imi Knoebel, inspired by the six windows he was commissioned to create for the 800 year anniversary of the Reims Cathedral, in collaboration with the Atelier Simon Marq. Imi Knoebel's project is an abstract composition whose essence lies in fundamental coulours, blue, yellow and red, in crossed and superimposed solid-coloured fills. It is the translation, according to his own expression, of the iconography of ancient stained-glass windows in "a new abstract language".
The 3 panels that compose “Couleur de Reims” are each limited to 10 copies, all signed and numbered by the artist.
Dimensions of the panels : 65 x 53 cm
Black waxed steel frame.
